2013 Nomination Form
Nominations close 4.00pm on Monday 30 September 2013
From the President
You know you have done some excellent work in the last year. Now it’s time to get some recognition!
The annual Tasmanian Awards for Excellence in ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ are an important opportunity to showcase your contributions to making this State a great place to live, work and enjoy. There are 15 categories in which you can nominate - ranging across ideas and concepts, research and analytical projects, planning documents or proposals, or implementation of planned projects into tangible outcomes. Outstanding personal efforts can also be recognised through the Planner of the Year and Young Planner of the Year awards.
The ongoing reforms in the Tasmanian planning system – including the preparation and assessment of regional plans and interim planning schemes – have demanded much effort and collaboration by planners across the State. There has been innovation on many fronts and the Awards offer a chance to acknowledge the value of all aspects of the planner’s role.
The Awards are also one way to demonstrate to the broader community the work done by planners and the way good planning creates strong communities and places of enduring quality.
If you are proud of the work that you, your team or your organisation has done recently, submit a nomination and let your peers and the public appreciate your achievements. Awards will be announced in November, so get busy now preparing your entries for submission by 20 September 2013.
